Fun With The Abbotts in New York City!

In front of the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center.

Our apartment is near the red and white smoke stacks to the right of the Chrysler building.

Marc, Kailer, and I overlooking the city lights.

She opened her eyes only briefly to catch a quick glimpse of the city.

All bundled up and ready to go out!

Sarah and Greg Abbott came out to see us this past weekend. Ben stayed at home with Grandma and Grandpa Abbott and was spoiled rotten. Sarah and Greg got to enjoy the city kid-free, but they sure did miss him! It was a first visit to NYC for both. Marc, Kailer, and I got to play tour guide and we enjoyed every second of it. Kailer was a trooper and stayed out all day with us as we hit all the sites from the Statue of Liberty to Rockefeller Center. She didn't see much of any of it because when she is in the Baby Bjorn...she is out cold! We were so happy to have Sarah and Greg visit us and we hope that they will be able to come back in the spring with Ben.

Homemade Photo Shoot

My attempt to copy the popular black and white newborn photos :)

Tummy time in her hat made by a friend of Grandma Amstutz's from work.

Kailer celebrating a little early in her Santa hat.

I had so much fun playing with grandpa's new camera this weekend and Kailer was a good sport too. It was quite the homemade photo shoot!

Thanksgiving in NYC!

My parents, Tyler, and Renee all arrived on Wednesday night to spend Thanksgiving with us in New York City. Kailer was quickly passed around!

It didn't take grandpa long to assume his favorite position with Kailer on the couch.

Grandma was excited to give Kailer her bath that she loves so much.

The whole family got into Guitar Hero!

All of us waiting for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade to begin.

Kailer slept through the entire parade. She missed all the fun!

Baby's 1st Thanksgiving.

Smiling in her sleep.

I was enjoying playing with grandpa's new camera.

Ready to hit the city.

Renee's first time on the subway.

Marc smiling pretty in Union Square.

Asleep with grandma and grandpa on the subway.

Tyler proposed to Renee on the Toys R' Us marquee in the middle of Times Square. It was quite the proposal!

Renee looked up at the screen only to turn around to find Tyler down on one knee.

Marc and I joined the happy couple for a celebratory dinner at Indigo while grandma and grandpa watched Kailer!

Two Months Old

Kailer is already two months old! Time sure does fly! She goes to the doctor on Monday, so I will update all of her information then. She sure is filling out!

Diaper Time!

Here are just a few pics of Kailer looking cute that I took this week. She is having a wonderful time with her dad everyday while I am at work. We are so happy that we are in a position to have Marc home with her. I feel at ease knowing that she is in good care and it makes me so happy to come home to them everyday.

Out and About in NYC

Ready to go!

Headed into the city and she is already asleep.

Waiting for our train.

Dodging the marathon crowd on the edge of Central Park.

Passed out after a long day.

I love N.Y.C.!

Marc, Kailer, and I ventured into the city today as the final hoorah of my maternity leave. I go back to work tomorrow...BOO:( We went down to Union Square and then to Central Park to see the fall trees. We were quite disappointed because the trees have not even begun to change color yet because it has been so warm. Also, we couldn't get far into Central Park because of the NYC marathon. It brings quite the crowd! It was fun to get Kailer out and about although she seemed to miss the entire trip because she was sleeping! Seems the subway works just as well putting a baby to sleep as a car!
