When Elmo Grows Up

Grandma Amstutz and Kailer outside of the Fox Theater.

Kailer playing with/eating her souvenirs.

We had great seats...just ten rows back!

While the rest of the country was enjoying the Super Bowl from the comfort of their couch, Grandma Amstutz and I took Kailer to see Sesame Live at the Fox Theater. It was a blast! Kailer is obsessed with Elmo and loved nothing more than to be surrounded by the red, furry monster. When the show first started she was a little scared because of the loud music and flashy lights, but it didn't take her long to get over it when Elmo took the stage. She clapped and cheered and really enjoyed watching all of the kids around her. Grandma and I even got her a few souvenirs for her to take home:) She was very well behaved throughout the show. I am not sure who enjoyed it more...Grandma Amstutz, Kailer, or me?!?!?!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Marc, Kailer, and I went with Grandma and Grandpa Amstutz to pick out our Christmas tree. It was our first tree as a family. Being that we left New York for the holidays, we never put one up. It was fun to decorate and place upon it all of the ornaments I had received over the years. Kailer really enjoyed playing in the snow while Marc was so "patient" as I struggled to find the perfect tree.

Warming up in the barn with Grandpa.

The picture that made our Christmas card.

I think she was trying to tell me "ENOUGH" with this face:) Ha!

All dressed up and ready for church on Christmas Eve (with a mouth full of marshmallows).

Big cousin and good buddy Cam feeding Kailer her night cap.

Possibly a new Christmas Eve family tradition in the making...Rock Band!

Kailer really likes Elmo. It was so cute to hear her say "Melmo" when she opened this one.

Playing with her new piano. Anything that makes noise and she is happy.

"Are these all for me????" Spoiled rotten once again.

Putting her Little People farm to good use with Uncle Tyler.

A view of the chaos at the Saxton household on Christmas day.

Alli and Emma showing off their new pajamas and Webkinz that we got for them.

A few days after Christmas we had the Abbotts over to celebrate. Kailer did surprisingly well sitting at a table with Ben.

Ben pushing Kailer around in her baby's stroller. Wonder where he got the idea...Greg?!?!? It certainly got a laugh out of us:)

Ben and Kailer sitting pretty.

Here Comes Santa Claus

Kailer wasn't too sure of Santa at first.

After petting Santa's coat, she finally warmed up to him.

"Come on Ben, let's go see Santa."

Kailer and Ben in front of the Christmas Alpaca/Llama?!?!

Kailer and I met up with Sarah and Ben for a day of shopping and Santa. Ben was so excited to see "Ho Ho," but wasn't quite ready to sit on his lap. Kailer screamed at first, but warmed up to him after she got to pet his soft coat. It was a fun day for both the moms and the kids. Certainly not anything like our old shopping trips. Now it is Baby Gap with strollers in tow, but twice the fun:)

Playing in the Leaves

Kailer and I went outside to "help" Marc rake leaves during our last warm week of Fall. I can't say that we were of much help. She really enjoyed romping around in the leaves and making more of a mess than anything. It was all new to her and so much fun to watch!

Bubble Bath

Kailer loves getting her bath...even more so when I give her bubble hairdos! I am not sure who has more fun though, me or Kailer?

Look at that smile!

All tuckered out and snuggling with Grandpa.
