Hands-On Science Museum

Playing at the water table.

Busy at work in the kitchen.

Dancing on the floor piano.

Nikki accompanied Kailer and I to the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum today for a little fun. I knew that most of the exhibits wouldn't be age appropriate for her, but she really enjoyed the preschool room. She had the whole water table to herself, which was by far her favorite. She played in the kitchen, drove a firetruck, played with Legos, and went down the slide. In another part of the museum, she enjoyed walking on the floor piano. She loves music! After that, she got back into her stroller while Nikki and I walked around a little more and then we all went out for a nice lunch. All in all, it was a wonderful day for the girls! I can't wait to take her back when she is a little older.

Easter

Emptying out her basket from Nonnie and Papa Saxton.

Not quite the madness of Christmas, but pretty close ;)

Kailer found it more fun to open the eggs as she went along.

Alli and Emma showing off all of their eggs after the hunt.

Joey made out like a bandit too!

All of the Saxton cousins.

The basket that was left at our house from the Easter Bunny.

Scoping out all of her gifts.

Opening one of the bags from Grandma and Grandpa Amstutz.

Conducting a "taste test" before she purchases.

Getting some love from Grandma.

Laughing with silly Uncle Ty.

Kailer and Her Bag of Tricks

I busted out the camcorder today and managed to get a few videos of Kailer. I prompted her to say some words, make a few animal sounds, and show me her tricks. I couldn't decide between the three, so I posted all of them. Enjoy!

Backyard Playhouse

Peek-a-boo!

Making sure the doorbell works.

Busy chatting on the portable phone.
.
With the weather warming up, we have been spending more time outside. Kailer LOVES to be outdoors! We broke down this week and bought Kailer a playhouse. I wasn't sure how she was going to like it, but it turns out that she loves it! It was a battle when it came time to head back indoors. She especially loves the cordless phone, walking around saying "hi, hi, hi!" Just like her mama:) I can't wait till the warm weather finally sticks around and we can spend more time in the playhouse!

Kai's First Haircut

.

This week Nonnie Saxton gave Kailer her first haircut. I know what you are thinking, what hair? We just needed a trim on the baby mullet happening in the back:) Nonnie gave her a comb to help out and she did really well!

When Elmo Grows Up

Grandma Amstutz and Kailer outside of the Fox Theater.

Kailer playing with/eating her souvenirs.

We had great seats...just ten rows back!

While the rest of the country was enjoying the Super Bowl from the comfort of their couch, Grandma Amstutz and I took Kailer to see Sesame Live at the Fox Theater. It was a blast! Kailer is obsessed with Elmo and loved nothing more than to be surrounded by the red, furry monster. When the show first started she was a little scared because of the loud music and flashy lights, but it didn't take her long to get over it when Elmo took the stage. She clapped and cheered and really enjoyed watching all of the kids around her. Grandma and I even got her a few souvenirs for her to take home:) She was very well behaved throughout the show. I am not sure who enjoyed it more...Grandma Amstutz, Kailer, or me?!?!?!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Marc, Kailer, and I went with Grandma and Grandpa Amstutz to pick out our Christmas tree. It was our first tree as a family. Being that we left New York for the holidays, we never put one up. It was fun to decorate and place upon it all of the ornaments I had received over the years. Kailer really enjoyed playing in the snow while Marc was so "patient" as I struggled to find the perfect tree.

Warming up in the barn with Grandpa.

The picture that made our Christmas card.

I think she was trying to tell me "ENOUGH" with this face:) Ha!

All dressed up and ready for church on Christmas Eve (with a mouth full of marshmallows).

Big cousin and good buddy Cam feeding Kailer her night cap.

Possibly a new Christmas Eve family tradition in the making...Rock Band!

Kailer really likes Elmo. It was so cute to hear her say "Melmo" when she opened this one.

Playing with her new piano. Anything that makes noise and she is happy.

"Are these all for me????" Spoiled rotten once again.

Putting her Little People farm to good use with Uncle Tyler.

A view of the chaos at the Saxton household on Christmas day.

Alli and Emma showing off their new pajamas and Webkinz that we got for them.

A few days after Christmas we had the Abbotts over to celebrate. Kailer did surprisingly well sitting at a table with Ben.

Ben pushing Kailer around in her baby's stroller. Wonder where he got the idea...Greg?!?!? It certainly got a laugh out of us:)

Ben and Kailer sitting pretty.
